Scope Of Maintenance

Alpha Designs offers ongoing website maintenance to ensure your website remains secure, functional, and up-to-date. Maintenance services include:

  • Monthly updates to WordPress core, themes, and plugins.
  • Regular backups of website files and databases.
  • Minor content updates or SEO-related tweaks (if included in your plan).
  • Monitoring website performance and security.

Plugin Or System Updates

  • Updates to WordPress, plugins, or themes are performed to maintain functionality and security.
  • Occasionally, updates may cause unexpected issues or conflicts on the website.
  • If an update breaks any part of the website, Alpha Designs will assess the issue.
  • Additional work required to fix issues caused by updates may incur a separate fee, which will be agreed with the client before any repair work is carried out.

Limitations

The maintenance service does not include:

  • Major redesigns or new development features (covered under separate project agreements).
  • Hosting outages or third-party server issues beyond our control.
  • Third-party plugin or theme failures unrelated to routine updates.
  • Any work performed outside the scope of the agreed maintenance plan unless agreed in writing.

Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for:

  • Providing access to WordPress admin, hosting, and any necessary credentials.
  • Approving updates or content changes that may impact website functionality.
  • Ensuring that content provided does not violate copyright or legal restrictions.

Backups & Restoration

  • Monthly backups are performed to protect your website’s content and functionality.
  • Restoration from backups is included if required, but may be subject to limitations if the site was modified outside of maintenance or contains custom development conflicts.

Reporting

  • Clients may receive monthly maintenance reports, summarising updates, backups, and any issues addressed.
  • Issues discovered outside the monthly maintenance schedule will be addressed as agreed, and may incur additional charges if outside the scope of the plan.

Payment & Cancellation

  • Maintenance services are billed monthly in advance.
  • Cancellation requires 30 days’ notice unless otherwise agreed.
  • Fees for any additional work caused by updates or out-of-scope requests will be agreed prior to work commencement.

Liability Disclaimer

Alpha Designs cannot be held responsible for loss of data, downtime, or website issues caused by:

  • Third-party hosting services.
  • Third-party plugins or themes.
  • Client actions outside of maintenance.

All maintenance and updates are performed to best practice standards, but unforeseen issues may occur.
